TQ Development Program

The primary purpose of the TQ Development Squads is to identify and support Junior and U23 Queensland triathletes to reach their maximal potential, whilst enhancing Queenslands presence at National Junior and U23 selection competitions and development opportunities. In 2010-2011 TQ will be supporting three development squads and will offer support that is commensurate with the level of squad that the athlete has reached.
|
TQ Development Squad TQDS [14 23 years] |
This squad provides an opportunity for Queensland Juniors and U23 triathletes to develop new skills and experiences in a positive and enjoyable environment. These athletes may be beginning their journey along either the elite or age group pathway. |
|
Junior Emerging Tri Squad JETS [16 19 years] |
to provide an opportunity for aspiring elite Queensland Juniors to develop new skills and experiences in an environment that demands commitment. |
|
TQ/QAS Metro Squad [16 23 years] |
to provide access to excellent support services to assist talented athletes who have demonstrated commitment to the sport and aspire to pursue selection into the QAS program |
These squads not only cater for the differing levels of talent within the Junior and U23 ranks in Queensland, but also provide opportunities for athletes who do not aspire to become elite. In addition, the structure provides a progressive pathway of support for those athletes who want to pursue excellence and are committed to becoming an elite triathlete.
To join the TQ Development Squad please read the Selection Policy and complete and return the Nomination Form with the appropriate fee to the office.
