Getting Started is Easy
Triathlon is a great sport for all ages and abilities. All you need is a bike, running shoes and some goggles. There are many races offered for beginners that are over shorter distances and easily acheiveable with a small amount of training for those who are fit and healthy.
The best place to start is to contact the clubs nearest you and find out how you can get involved. Most clubs have programs and training to suit all ages & fitness abilities. Find the club nearest you.

Triathlon - What is it?
Triathlon is a combination of the 3 sports of swimming, cycling and running.
Triathlon is a multisport and it has various disciplines. It includes Sprint Distance Triathlon, Olympic Distance Triathlon, Iron Man, Half Iron Man, Aquathlon (swim & run only), Duathlon (Run & cycle only). Triathlon Queensland is also embracing other forms of Triathlon including Tre-X (off road triathlon). |
